Aunque no le guste al propio Stephen King, Stanley Kubrick realizo una de las mejores adaptaciones cinematográficas basada en una obra de este autor en la gran pantalla con The Shining... Casi 40 años después, Mike Flanagan nos trae la segunda parte de la historia. Los encargados de componer la Banda Sonora de la película son The Newton Brothers (compositores habituales del director).
